takes part in the annual Chamber-sponsored CulpeperFest held in
June at the Germanna Tech Center, where member businesses
and organizations showcase their products
and services. This fun-filled community event draws a sell-out

4th of July
Without a doubt, the Number One community event in Culpeper
County is the Independence Day Celebration.
Coordinated
by volunteers and dependent upon financial support
from Town, County, local businesses and citizens,
the annual Fourth of July activities are provided at
little or no cost to the public.
Thousands of people gather on the
downtown streets
of Culpeper for the parade, antique car show, sporting
events, patriotic commemorations, children's amusements,
food, and live music - with a grand finale
of professionally produced FIREWORKS. RE/MAX® Crossroads
wouldn't miss the opportunity to contribute both money
and time to this event because
it offers such a strong sense of community spirit.

Soap Box Derby (June)
A very special event to Culpeper is the Soap Box
Derby. RE/MAX® Crossroads signed on as a sponsor because this
is a family, business and community event designed
especially for youth. It encourages family involvement through the construction and competition of gravity race cars. First organized
in 1934 in Akron, Ohio, the
Derby has expanded throughout America as a national
youth sport competition and has fielded more than a
million entrants over the years. Our "team" RE/MAX®
racing car is a huge success for all involved in its
creation, whether or not a recipient of the checkered
flag. We look forward to participating every year.

Farm Tour (October)
Agriculture, a vital part of the economy of Culpeper, helps
us maintain a balance between our rural nature and the residential
growth we're experiencing. That's why the first weekend in October has
been designated
for tours of farms, nurseries, vineyards and other agriculture
related businesses which have invited the public to visit their operations.
These tours offer
the chance to take part in milking, feeding, horse or dog
training, hay rides, pumpkin carving, wine tastings and the like. RE/MAX®
Crossroads appreciates
its rural surroundings and proudly promotes our farming-related
entities.

The Culpeper Food Closet
Organized in 1984,
The Culpeper Food Closet collects and distributes items of food and other items to people in need.
Begun as an outreach of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church which still houses
its daily operations, it is run by volunteers from many local churches
and organizations and receives donations of food, money and other
necessities from individuals, groups and businesses located throughout
the community. Because of the strong support of so many, the need for
help is met without government funding.
